ADOPTIONS - Sometimes we are contacted by a local (Brevard County, FL) animal owner who can no longer take care of their pet and want assistance to find them a new home with a loving family to care for them, instead of surrendering them to the animal care center.  We can certainly understand this.  So we try to help them re-home their pet.  When we have this sort of situation, we will be placing the information and picture(s) of the pet, highlighting them, right here on our front page.  Please understand that as soon as we post it, someone may contact us, interested in adopting the pet (we hope).  These type of adoptions are not regulated by our rescue or any other.  We are simply the middle-person for getting the owner and potential adopter together.  The owner makes the decisions on the adoption and there is no fee (unless mentioned here).  We are willing to help an owner with any kind of pet.

PLEASE DO NOT leave your pet in the car when you take them for an outing.  Even with the windows cracked or the A/C engine on.  Your car could emit harmful fumes that could asphyxiate your pet.

IT IS STILL HOT!!!  If you see a stray (even wildlife), please be kind.  Give it some water, food and shelter from the sun.  No animal should be without water and shade during our Florida summer.  If you cannot keep/care for it, please take it to the SPCA in Titusville off Garden Street, the Brevard Humane Society in Cocoa, on Cox Road or the County Animal Care Center on West Eau Gallie, off I95 in Melbourne to be taken care of and adopted.

10/18/18 - George "Pug Daddy/Poop Wrangler" and I love the seniors and those with disabilities.  We always end up adopting them ourselves "foster failures", we call them.  We have had as many as 5 at one time.  Right now we have 3.  Gus is 10, our 1st Puggle (in the picture below on the right) and thankfully still have Diesel, 10, sitting between George's legs.  We also have Jazzy who's about 14 and pretty much deaf and blind, but finds his food just fine.  We strongly encourage anyone who wants to adopt a Pug, Puggle or Boston Terrier, to please consider the older ones.  They have so much love to give and they don't deserve being abandoned after years of loyalty.  They are easy to take care of.  They sleep alot, don't require long walks or a lot of exercise. They will watch TV or nap with you.  They should have the best last years.  These guys will live to 15-16 when taken care of.  It's not the quantity of the time, it's the quality.  Both you and your pet will greatly benefit from having each other.

SUMO (02-2007/12-2017) Front/center in picture below.  Thank you dearest Sumo for teaching us so many valuable lessons and giving us your love, companionship and devotion.  We miss you and will love you forever.
